ADC - Automatic Depth Controller
These nifty gizmos have a pressure sensor vented to the outside (water) and it works to keep your sub at a constant depth.

APC - Automatic Pitch Controller
Keeps your sub on an even keel, utilizing an accelerometer that senses what angle the sub is at and tries to level it by angling the dive planes up or down. A pitch controller isan absolute must to keep your sub "hot, straight and normal" when submerged. It is connected between your receiver and the stern plane servo. Without one, you will not be able to hold your sub at a constant angle/depth for any period of time and be rewarded with a rather unattractive porpoising effect.

RTV - Room Temperature Vulcanizing
What rc sub cognicenti call silicone stickum stuff. Be aware that certain types - GOOP for one - will craze and crack Lexan and other plastics. It also melts foam that is used for flotation. TEST it before you use it!

SCR - The SubCommittee Report
The official house organ for the SubCommittee. An online publication that is downloaded by paying members in PDF format. Only $15 per year for membership and 4 issues of the mag per year!

WTC - WaterTight Cylinder
A watertight (hopefully!) tube filled with all the electronics and goodies that make your sub work. The first RC subs - used bulkheads in the hull with tops that bolted down with dozens of nuts or screws.

WTF - Why the face ;-)
What is often said to sub modeler after sub refuses to 1. surface 2. dive 3. go, etc.
